We love books and the processes of creating them: words, ideas, illustrations, research, photography, stories, colour, type. We love the feel of paper and the moment when someone says how much they are enjoying a book we have put together, or how interesting and useful they are finding it. We work closely as a team and like to collaborate with people who are also trying to do something exceptional in their area of expertise. Whatever the subject, we like to bring a fresh perspective to what we do.
Caroline Harris is the author of Ms Harris's Book of Green Household Management (John Murray) and of children’s books about the natural world for Kingfisher Publications. She has been a senior editor on the Observer and Daily Express and a content editor for websites and blogs. Caroline is also a part-time lecturer on the Publishing course at Bath Spa University.
Clive Wilson has been a senior project manager and commissioning editor for more than 15 years. He has edited award-winning titles at Kingfisher Publications and also worked with Thames & Hudson and Oxford University Press.
In 2006 we moved from London to Bath, and were inspired to originate more of our own book ideas. Harris + Wilson is the result.
